Last updated: 6 May 2026

1. Who we are

Torric Ltd ("Torric", "we", "us", "our") is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17132936), with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit our website or interact with our services. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What data we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address — so we can contact you about our launch and the service
  • User type — whether you are a creator or an agency, so we can send you relevant updates
  • Submission timestamp — when you joined the waitlist
  • Technical data — IP address and browser information, collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention

We do not currently collect any other personal data through this website. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • Send you updates about Torric, including launch announcements, product news, and information relevant to your user type (creator or agency)
  • Respond to enquiries you send to us
  • Improve our website and service offering
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorised access to our systems

We will not send you marketing communications unrelated to Torric, and we will not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Consent — you have given us permission to contact you by joining our waitlist. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — for security, abuse prevention, and improving our website.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required by law to retain or disclose information.

5. Who we share your data with

We share your personal data with the following service providers, who help us run the business:

  • Netlify — our website hosting and form submission provider
  • Email service providers — for sending you waitlist updates (currently and in future, we may use providers such as Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar)
  • Google Workspace — for managing email correspondence with you

These providers process your data on our behalf under data processing agreements consistent with UK GDPR. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, court order, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK Addendum), or other transfer mechanisms approved by the Information Commissioner's Office.

7. How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for as long as you remain on our waitlist or are receiving communications from us. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. We may retain certain data for longer where required to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations, but we will only retain what is necessary.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we are processing data based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we have not handled your data appropriately

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@torric.com. We will respond within one month of receiving your request.

9. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies. We currently use essential cookies required for the site to function, including those set by our hosting provider for security purposes. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing trackers, or third-party analytics on this site at present.

If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate cookie consent mechanism.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and secure hosting. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the Information Commissioner's Office in line with UK GDPR requirements.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, particularly as our service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when changes were made. If changes are material, we will notify you by email before they take effect.
